Day 204 – Los Condors, Colca Canyon

Up early to walk the ridge to the cruz de condor lookout over the canyon to watch the graceful Andes condors glide the thermals of this canyon. The breeze picked up at 8am and about 15 condors came out of the caves for their morning flight. Difficult to photograph and now have equal condor photos to flamingoes & penguins on our trip. A 3 hour trek to the mountains at the top of the terraces and then back to Arequipa in the late afternoon.
