Day 149 – Ben’s day in Potosi

Ben’s day in Potosi – He booked to go on a tour into the silver mines with Phil. This day was a special event to sacrifice two llamas to the gods for the miners safety. They went to the miners markets first to buy coca leaves and beer for the miners then walked and crawled into the hot dusty mines seeing the tough conditions the miners work under. Afterwards he had a worms eye view witnessing the llama sacrifice ritual and helped butcher the llamas for a BBQ afterwards. An experience he will never forget!
