Day 222 – Floreana Island

We head due south to Floreana island which was a place to harbour pirates and later the whalers. Visit Post Office Bay where the old post box was used for the whalers of the 18th century and hope our postcard gets home one day. Get to see more flamingoes on our trip but this time on salt water, many sea lions busking in the sun and lots of Sally lightfoot crabs. Trek from a brown sandy beach to a beautiful beach with turquoise waters & the whitest finest sand. Snorkelling is another highlight around ragged rocks called Devils Crown known for an abundance of tropical fish. Strong currents allowed us to do a drift snorkel. And to top off the day a sunset over the water.
