Day 105 – Island to a city all in a day
Nobbies on the move to Sao Paulo adding 2 more to the population of 20 million!! With 3 modes of transport (boat and 2 buses) and arriving 11 hours later in peak traffic we are totally overwhelmed at the sprawling … Continue reading
Day 101 – 104 – Island time on Ilha del Mel
After 3 days of rain we finally decided to explore the rest of the island when the sun came out. Nobbies thought they were in an episode of ‘Lost’ trekking to the ‘other side’ of the island.
Day 98-99 – And the rains cometh
The rains cometh and the rains stayeth (is that such a word?) Stormy weather, rains and high tides on the island. Ok time for Nobbies to be productive and catch up on blogs. No hammock time in this weather.

Day 96am- All aboard, Serra Verde
All aboard the Serra Verde Express. Spectacular 3 hour scenic train ride through the preserved Atlantic forest mountains from Curitiba to Morretes, south east of Brazil. This is only the first half of our 8 hour journey using 4 types … Continue reading
Day 95 – A surreal day in Curitiba
There’s always a weird day while travelling and today was one of those days. Early 7am flight from Iguasu Falls to Curitiba as a one night stopover to the Brazilian coast. Not a great deal to do in this sprawling … Continue reading
Day 94 – Do you know where you’re going to?
Nobbies have separated for the first time in 94 days. Ben takes a trip across the border from Brazil to the lawless border city of Ciudad del Este, Paraguay (the Bangkok of Sth America) home to cheap electronics and lowlife … Continue reading
