Day 119 – Cristo Redentor, Rio

After seeing this famous Rio icon all my life in movies and books, Nobbies finally get up close to Christ Redeemer statue. Perched 2300 feet high on top of Corcovado mountain the statue is 100 feet high and the arm length is 90 feet across. Mighty impressive. Yes there were hordes of tourists and yes we joined everyone else there and took the compulsory photo with our arms stretched out. When in Rome.
