Day 247 – Comida & Bebidas de la Isla

Most of the income for the locals is derived from selling their tasty caribbean food, like corn fritters and coconut fudge sweets, fresh catch of the day of crab, fish & lobster as well as fresh juices with or without alcohol on the beach. We are spoilt to wake up each morning to the fruit salad lady delivering a platter to our hut. Though have to decline the coco loco guy selling rum in a coconut for breakfast. Sadly time to head back and desalt ourselves and take a speedboat to the mainland. After 3 days of midweek bliss the beach has been taken over by the weekend crowd with boats of all shapes and sizes blasting their Reggaeton music louder than the next
