Day 220 – Blue awesomeness!

Galápagos Islands trip starts. Today’s word is Awesomeness! Board the Queen Beatriz catamaran which is our home for the next 8 days. Meet our wonderful fellow travellers and crew then an afternoon of snorkelling at Carrion Point, Santa Cruz. Whilst snorkelling we jump back on the zodiacs as our guide thought he saw dolphins and instead turned out to be three Orca killer whales. For the next hour they dived under our boat and were feeding on a sea lion below. This was followed by a frenzy of frigate birds feeding off the leftovers rising to the surface. Totally immersed in wildlife and feeling like we are watching a discovery channel live. What a great start.
