Day 194 – Day 3 on Inca Jungle Trail

Serious fun morning zip lining across 4 valleys at 90kmph and the longest one being 1.5km at 500m high! After fleecie apprehensions for days prior, the chicas in the group made a pact to do this and so glad I did. Sheer fright at the beginning but then the adrenalin rush sets in. I went with a guide and Ben was brave enough to zipline on his own. Though his first zip line across Ben misinterpreted the brake instructions and couldn’t stop at the end. His large calves come in handy in these situations. The last zip line we had to rappel down to the ground from a platform suspended in the sky. On such a high our trek continued to Aguas Calientes, the base town for Machu Picchu, along the train tracks. Our amazing guide Juan or JC calls us ‘Family’ and have had the best time with them. Our final meal with the gang and early night as a 4am start to Machu Picchu the next day.
