Day 145pm – Lagunas and Los Flamicos

Stunning afternoon driving through arid desert plains, more lakes and the highlight was seeing flamingoes at 4500m. Our first flat tyre which is no surprise given the terrain we were crossing. The first night sleeping at high altitude and temps of what felt like -10c was a challenge. With no heating we slept with 4 layers of clothing, sleeping bag and 3 blankets!!
