Day 96pm – Boating to Ilha del Mar

After 3 months of travelling through mountains, pampas, deserts, glaciers, lakes & volcanoes there is still something soothing to the soul to have ocean spray on our faces, motoring on a colourful wooden island boat, watching the sunset over the water heading to a rustic island with no cars, no fancy resorts and basic bungalows. A step back in time. A long travel day of train, local buses and a 2 hr boat to get here but we did it and now this is our home for a week – Ilha Do Mel (island of honey)
