Day 57 – Wow of all wow’s at Cerro Fitz Roy

This was our reward after a 4.5 hour trek with the last hour being a tough steep vertical climb of 800 metres above the tree line over boulders and rocks. This view of Cerro Fitz Roy and Laguna De Los Tres trumps every ‘wow’ we have seen so far. To get some perspective on the height note the people down on the lake behind us. Absolute perfect weather conditions. The gut busting climb and the knee popping descent for the 4 hour trek back was worth every sweat, ache and pain.
