Day 11 – Typical Chilean Supermercado

Today our Spanish homework consisted of translating our groceries and prices into Spanish. Alas the choice here is limited…entire aisles dedicated to cooking oil, mayonnaise, Uht milk (no fresh milk to be found), hundreds of liquid artificial sugar bottles, 50kg bags of flour and no glass jars so items like jam, olives are packed in plastic. We love the liquor aisles where a dozen corona or local beer are $8 and even better Ben purchased a polish vodka for $6!!
